Weighting potential in hemi-spherical detector is calculated using Mathematica with FEM. Detector configuration is 12x12x6 mm3. Five surfaces except top are fully covered with gold electrode (cathode) and center of top surface has a 1-mm diameter elctrode (anode). Potential in cathode and anode is 0 V and 1 V, respectively.
Weighting potential along the z-axis for 0.5-mm diameter anode. The shape of weighting potential depends on the size of anode. As the anode size gets smaller, the potential slope gets steeper.
